Analyzing the sample of ICT-assisted in project-based learning plan
ICT-assisted project-based learning plan
We all know that Project Based Learning (PBL) is a teaching method in which students learn by actively engaging in real-world and personally meaningful projects.
Based on the sample that I've research is that the main goal of the PBL is to provide students with the best possible education with the resources we have available. One of our resources is the collected knowledge of educational researchers, and another is the collected knowledge and skills of teachers. Research on transfer of learning, constructivism, situated learning, cooperative learning, intrinsic motivation, and etc. is applicable to all of education.
A good teacher "grows" on the job. The job is a learning and capacity-building environment. Every day is an opportunity for learning. Some of this learning needs to be focused on keeping up with the progress that is occurring in the Craft and Science of Teaching and Learning in the disciplines you teach and the students you teach. There is a huge amount of research occurring on ways to improve education. ICT-Assisted PBL is one component of teaching and learning in which a teacher can grow and gain increased capacity. It is a good area to experiment because of the possibility of relatively rapid progress and improved education for your students. It also has the characteristic that it draws upon a broad range of the accumulated knowledge and skills of effective teaching. One of the most important goals in education is for students to gain a significant level of expertise in being an independent, self-sufficient, self-assessing, intrinsically motivated and lifelong learner. The modern teacher is one who recognizes, encourages, facilitates and stretches student learning.
And by this, teachers are considered partners with their students and no longer need to teach by telling. Teachers should foster creativity and real-life problem solving, purpose and passion. Allowing students to demonstrate their knowledge of technology is a great way for teachers to work alongside with the students.
How to integrate ICT and project-based learning approach in a learning plan
Successful project-based learning (PBL) seeks to develop models for deeper learning in school and college by engaging students in projects. This method blends classroom teaching, technology use, and problem solving through projects and real-world challenges. PBL marks a point of departure from traditional classroom learning. It requires schools to invest resources into redesigning curriculum and making outreach efforts to incorporate real-world challenges and business partnerships. Successful project-based learning also takes major investment in terms of time and effort from students and teachers.
7 Ways To Integrate Technology For Successful Project-Based Learning
1. Learning Management Systems - it is a software application or web-based technology used to plan, implement and assess a specific learning process. It is used for eLearning practices and, in its most common form, consists of two elements: a server that performs the base functionality and a user interface that is operated by instructors, students and administrators.
2. Flipped Classroom Learning- it is a software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting, automation, and delivery of educational courses, training programs, or learning and development programs. The learning management system concept emerged directly from e-Learning.
3. Video Quiz- it is a Media Gallery includes a video quizzing feature that allows you to insert questions into a video. While playing the video, it will pause where there is a question, and a student must either answer or skip the question to continue.
4. Learner Analytics And Data Visualization- is the graphical representation of information and data in a pictorial or graphical format. Data analytics is the process of analyzing data sets in order to make decision about the information they have, increasingly with specialized software and system.
5. Course Gamification- is the application of game elements and digital game design techniques to non-game problems, such as business and social impact challenges. This course will teach you the mechanisms of gamification, why it has such tremendous potential, and how to use it effectively.
6. Whiteboard Animation Videos-Whiteboard animation is a style of video designed to look like the content is being hand-drawn on a school whiteboard or white background.
7. Training Teachers And Students For Software Use- it is a great way for training students and teachers with the use of software for their online learning.
And because of this, I can say that ICT in education improves engagement and knowledge retention. When ICT is integrated into lessons, students become more engaged in their work. This is because technology provides different opportunities to make it more fun and enjoyable in terms of teaching the same things in different ways.
